In 2013, I led a comprehensive design effort to breathe new life into a former Piggly Wiggly, reimagining it as a premier Whole Foods Market on Hilton Head Island. This project was an exercise in sense of place—I conducted extensive field research into local materials and history to ensure the environment felt authentic to the island. Beyond the blueprints, I worked hand-in-hand with fabricators to bring these concepts to life, ultimately delivering a vacation-friendly, sophisticated retail experience that reflects the island’s unique character.
