In 2013, I led the freelance design effort for the transformation of the former Piggly Wiggly into a new Whole Foods Market on Hilton Head Island. The project involved developing complete environmental and architectural design plans, collaborating closely with fabricators, and translating concept into execution on-site.
I visited Hilton Head multiple times to research local culture, history, and materials, ensuring the design reflected the community’s character while aligning with Whole Foods’ brand. The result was a space that blended regional authenticity with a modern vacation-destination and kid-friendly retail experience.
